What to expect

A DOT physical is performed by a medical examiner listed on the FMCSA National Registry and confirms a driver can safely operate a commercial vehicle. The exam covers health history, vision and hearing, blood pressure and pulse, urinalysis, and a hands-on physical review of the systems that matter behind the wheel.

Drivers who pass leave with a Medical Examiner's Certificate. Most certificates are valid for up to 24 months; examiners issue shorter cards — commonly three months to one year — when a condition such as elevated blood pressure needs monitoring. We track expiration dates so a lapsed card never sidelines a driver mid-route.

We coordinate exams around dispatch schedules and can pair them with collections, fit testing, or audiograms in a single visit, so a driver is qualified and your file is complete in one stop.
